Creative theme of the festival

Well-known events, that were connected with Donbass and had started in spring in 2014th, made great part of donbass people thinking about peace. For peaceable Donbass peacefull sky above the heads was always a habitual thing. But in 2014th great great number of citizens of region understood, that peace is very important worth.

Blacksmiths in their works often talk about love, friendship, peace. This year peace is as relevant as ever. And as a creative theme of the festival offered nothing more than a «Dove of Peace». Known symbol of peace since the days of the Old Testament is an olive branch. Over time, as a sign of peace Olive took its place in heraldry. And, of course, we all remember the symbol of peace — a dove carrying an olive twig, painted by Pablo Picasso in 1949 as the emblem of the World Peace Congress (Paris, Prague, 1949).

Guild of Blacksmiths of Donbass as organizer of the XVI international festival of blacksmithing skill Forged Figures Park invites artists to come to the Donetsk. Forge festival proposes to make «Doves of Peace» (life-size birds). Pigeons, «arriving» in Donetsk from different parts of the world, will take their place in the Park of Forged Figures. Also can send their envoys organizations, enterprises and individuals turning to the manufacture of miniature art metal masters. All works together form an international collective composition that go down in history Forged Figures Park and the city of Donetsk, entitled «Dove of Peace».
